There is a silence, a balance,
A peace,
Inside this tumultuous mind.
Sometimes,
The words make sense.
They flow freely,
Resting in a delta
Of rationalization.
Sometimes,
They rage.
Thoughts like rapids,
Feelings embedded.
This normal life
Drowning, in a moment
Of release.
Sometimes,
I sit on the banks.
I reflect off the water,
Wondering
Where this river’s been,
Where it’s going,
And how untamable
It really is.
But I drink.
I indulge.
My thoughts refresh
This parched soul.
Someday soon,
I’ll float down river.
Someday soon,
The whispers will quiet.
And the stars,
The glorious stars,
Will be all my thoughts reflect.
I really love your way with words. It inspires me.
I was thinking about you today, wondering when I was going to see a post from you next. Perhaps your ears were burning and that’s why this has appeared.

It’s nearly harvest season at the winery, work has been crazy. Actually had a couple poems started, this was one of them. Working on the other currently π.
Hope things are well, Vee.
