On Inspiration

Can be hard to come by.
There are so many emotions,
So many senseless thoughts,
And where does one begin?

It can be like trying
To cut out a section
Of a spider web
And not tangle it.

It can be glorious,
As if the words
And purpose
Were destined for each other.

I once was told
To remember the face
Of someone you lost,
You must think of them
Doing something:
There must be an action
To see that which you desire.

Here too, I believe,
You must find the action
That evokes that divine muse.
Often my penchant of choice
Is lounging in peace,
Under star studded skies,
Or on beautiful days,
And simply watching life
As time ticks on
Towards infinity.
